Review: Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, really?
They seem to be popping up everywhere. The sandwich maker "Which Wich" is a restaurant chain specializing in sandwiches and salads. My family visited a new location in Morrisville, NC this past weekend. It was our second experience at the restaurant as we dined at another location several months ago.
The experience at Which Wich is different from other sandwich shops. The menu is on the wall above a table where you write your order. Each type of sandwich/salad has a pre-printed bag with options you can choose. I ordered the #8 Italian sandwich. On the bag you use a Sharpie to indicate they types of ingredients you want. It's similar to the process of ordering at Char-Grill in downtown Raleigh, NC if you're familiar with that restaurant.
Once you've finished writing your order on the paper bag(s), you hand it to the cashier and pay. They make your sandwich and call your name to pickup your order. Our total order for 2 sandwiches, drinks, and a kids meal came to $25.49.
We found the experience confusing to begin with. It took a moment to understand how to place the order. The cashier must have been having a bad day. She wasn't the friendliest on the planet :), but no biggie.
The sandwiches themselves were very good. The hot Italian I ordered had nice seasoning and filled me up. My wife had a roast beef and she said it tasted very good. For my young daughter we ordered a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Basic right, but the bread was a little stale (plain white bread).
Overall an average experience and we will give it another try!
